The formaldehyde
problem starts with
the glue — not the wood.
Conventional boards use urea-formaldehyde as adhesive — that's where 90% of indoor formaldehyde originates. Shengshi Gelin replaces it with natural soybean protein glue, removing that source. Wood itself still releases a trace amount, so we quote a grade and a number instead of an absolute: ENF, ≤0.025 mg/m³ — the highest tier in GB/T 39600-2021.
The result: an ENF-grade board with formaldehyde emissions below 0.025 mg/m³ — five times stricter than the standard E1 grade used by most suppliers.

From Langfang, China

Our factory is in Langfang, Hebei — at the heart of China's Beijing-Tianjin industrial corridor, a region with over 40 years of woodworking and home furnishing heritage.
In 2015 we pioneered the use of natural soybean adhesive, removing urea-formaldehyde from our production entirely. That same technology now supplies designers and developers in Malaysia through JIYU SDN BHD.

What is the difference between ENF, E0 and E1 board in Malaysia?+
ENF, E0 and E1 are formaldehyde emission grades under GB/T 39600-2021. ENF (≤0.025 mg/m³) is the strictest tier — the grade commonly specified for nurseries, children's rooms and high-end homes. E0 (≤0.050 mg/m³) is used for standard home decoration and custom furniture, while E1 (≤0.124 mg/m³) is used for commercial and engineering projects. Shengshi Gelin supplies ENF as standard across our full range in Malaysia; E0 and E1 only on specific request or large custom orders.
